It's difficult to label Laura Love, except to say that most who have heard her blend of folk, jazz, rock and funk agree she's an exceptional singer/songwriter. The influences of both Joni Mitchell and the late Laura Nyro riddle today's release, "Fourteen Days," a very accomplished 11-song collection.

The mix of the album is dominated by Love originals; the remainder are tunes she has obvious fondness for, such as the standard "Shenandoah" and a hot version of Nyro's "Stone Soul Picnic."
